Home > Visitors > Our StaffMeet Our StaffCharlie Stakely, Senior Pastor Charlie is from Montgomery, Alabama. He graduated from the University of Alabama and then Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, where he worked as an attorney for four years. Charlie attended Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi and then served as a missionary in Japan. He served as an assistant pastor at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Montgomery before coming to Evans to help start Redeemer. Charlie is married to his wife, Winter, and they have three children: Charlie, Ellie and McKay.Mike Fennema, Assistant Pastor Mike is from South Holland, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. He grew up loving most all sports, especially baseball and basketball, and any kind of competitive game including ultimate frisbee, snow skiing, or board games. Mike attended Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan and graduated with a degree in Business Communications. During a semester abroad in Kenya, he felt God calling him to ministry. From Calvin College, Mike moved to Orlando, Florida to attend Reformed Theological Seminary. While in Orlando, Mike met his wife Stephanie and they now have two sons, Elliot and Oliver. Mike was ordained and installed as Redeemer's Assistant Pastor in May 2009 but continues to head Redeemer's Youth Ministry (RYM). His passion for our middle and high school students keeps him busy with RYM activities.Sheri Smith, Music DirectorSheri is originally from Virginia Beach, VA. She has a Bachelor of Music and Music Therapy from Radford University in Radford, Virginia. She has worked in various capacities in Church Music Ministry as church soloist, singles’ music leader and has directed children’s choirs. She has also been a vocalist for several jazz bands in the Augusta area. She serves as a Music Therapist at the VA Medical Center. Sheri is married to Brian Smith and they have four children.
